You have a great dog. You also have work, school schedules, and full days that make fitting in hours of exercise a challenge. Doggie day play at Canine Corner helps bridge that gap with supervised open play in a safe environment.

Our doggy day care services offer a supervised, open-play environment where dogs can socialize, make new friends and expend energy while you’re working or running errands.

open play, not a boarding facility

At Canine Corner, we let dogs be dogs, built around movement and interaction. And when it comes to play, doggie day care lets dogs spend their day in supervised open play with opportunities to socialize, explore, and stay engaged.

Like us, dogs can get overwhelmed, overstimulated or sometimes just need some alone time. Our crates are used only when a dog needs a brief break or temporary separation for comfort or safety. They are not part of a dog’s daily routine here.

We give your dog room to be a dog, with other dogs and head home feeling doggone tired and happy!

why day play is good for dogs

  • Socialization

Just like kids, regular socialization can help dogs practice positive interactions and build confidence over time. Many pet parents notice positive changes, such as calmer behavior and improved manners, after a few weeks of consistent doggie day play visits. Dogs get exposed to other pet parents and their pups, reducing reactivity and making interactions normalized. This can help reduce overexcitement in other situations.

  • Energy Release

By offering a variety of activities and interaction with other dogs, doggie daycare offers physical movement and mental stimulation throughout the day. This can help reduce boredom behaviors which can be destructive to furniture and shoes.

  • Great for Busy Owners

When your schedule is full, Day Play helps ensure your dog still gets the activity and engagement they need. Pawsitively beneficial for you AND your dogs.

  • Helpful for Dogs With Separation Anxiety

For dogs who struggle being alone, a social routine with familiar caregivers can help reduce stress that comes from being alone. Doggie day care can help your dog build confidence and learn self-soothing behaviors in a healthy way. Dogs are social  animals so they learn by example, consistent interactions with other dogs can help your pup learn self-soothing behaviors in a natural way.
